“India and Pakistan played a match, the result revealed …”: PM Modi via Ind -Pak Cricket Rivalry

Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not consider himself a cricket expert, but emphasized that recent results have shown that India was a better team than Pakistan and also the role of sport in the merging of people.
Modi shared his views during a free conversation with the popular American Podcaster Lex Fridman on Sunday.

Modi was also asked who he would choose as the biggest footballer. The Indian Prime Minister said, while Diego Maradona was celebrated as a hero in the 1980s, Lionel Messi has massive in the modern game.

“I am not an expert, I don't know the technology of this game, only experts can say that, but a few days ago India and Pakistan played a match. The result reveals which is the better team. We know,” said modi.

India increased the Champions Trophy title and beat Pakistan during his unbeaten run in the tournament.

“I think sport has the power to energize the whole world. Sports sport brings together people in different nations. So I would never want to see that sport will be discredited. I really believe that sport plays an important role in human evolution, they are not just games. They combine people at a lower level,” said the premier minister.

Modi spoke about the popularity of football in India and said that he was amazed at how the game of the game in a small town in Madhya Pradesh witnessed.

He referred to Bicharpur, who is now considered a Mini Brazil for his passionate passion for football.

“There is a district called Shahdol, a completely tribal region in which a large tribal community lives. When I visited, I noticed about 80 to 100 boys and even older young people who were all dressed in sports jerseys,” said PM Modi.
