Indiana Baseball has a 3-1 weekend in Florida, when Big Ten Play waves

Bloomington, Ind. – College Baseball only had three weekends. Indiana Baseball is still trying to find his way, but the games that really count are just around the corner.

Indiana had a 3-1 weekend trip to VERTON. The Hoosiers hammered the 18-5 and 20-7 from Mount St. Mary in two games and separated in the other two. The Hoosiers defeated the Hatters on Friday with 8: 1, but lost a remuneration with 8: 4 on Saturday. The victories over Mount St. Mary's occurred on Friday and Sunday.

The 3-1 trip of the Hoosiers came on the heels last Wednesday during a house loss a week. The musketers won 8-4. Indiana is now 6-6 for the season.

With 12 games in the books, some players are outstanding for the Hoosiers.

As expected, the all-American Outfield Devin Taylor was productive. Taylor already meets five homes and 20 RBI .367, but Taylor was Indiana's best racket.

This honor goes to Louisville Transfer Korbyn Dickerson. The outfield drove seven Homeruns and has 22 RBI with its average of 0.426 blow.

The third outfield of Indiana, Andrew Wiggins, also hit well. Wiggins beats .367 with 7 RBI.

The designated Hitter Joey Benczewski meets two Homeruns and 10 RBI .406. The newcomer Jake Hanley has an excellent start. The first Baseman meets 6 RBI .385. TJ Schuyler meets .318, because he was highlighted as a threat to the recent competitions on the plate.

With regard to pitching, the reliever Drew Buhr has followed its solid 2024 season with another effective start. Buhr has an ERA of 1.29 in 14 innings of aid work.

Anthony Gubitosi (2.25) and Ben Grable (2.57) were also good out of the Bullpen, although Grable started a start for the Hoosiers over the weekend, as a coach Jeff Mercer hopes to find the right combination of pitchers to anchor the staff.

Under the rotation of Indiana, the Indiana State Transfer Cole Gilley was most effective. Gilley has an ERA of 4.05 in 13 1/3 innings of work. Indiana has to struggle with the start of pitching. None of the other starting jugs from Indiana have an era below 6.23.

Mercer used Gavin Seebold, Grable, Gilley and Jackson Yarberry as his starters in the four games in Florida at the weekend.

There is only one game in the week-one Tuesday home competition against Northern Kentucky- before Big Ten Series begins this weekend.

From Friday, Indiana will travel to Penn State for a series with three games. If it looks like it is an early start to the big ten season, it is.

In 2024, big ten teams played eight conference series. Since the big ten were expanded to the west coast in a 17-team league (Wisconsin did not sponsor baseball), the conference expanded their TAF by 10 conference series.

Every weekend from this time to the end of the regular season, the big ten conference series shows.

Indiana plays in Penn State, Ucla, Illinois, Iowa and Michigan. Indiana organizes Ohio State, Southern California, Michigan State, Maryland and Purdue.
