Insider licks the price of Canadiens for Leafs Target Jake Evans

Regardless of whether it is Evans or another person, it is more than likely that the second-rounder of the Leafs and the 2026 first-round will be involved. If Florida's second round is the price for the price, why not?

The Maple Leafs would not touch their prospects, they add a cheap center (whose content can be found quite easily) and give up a selection in the range of 55-60.

So if that's all that it takes, then do it.

Evans, 28, was a solid 2c/3c for the Canadia this season. In 57 games he has 11 goals and 16 templates, while he won 52.5% of his allusions in 15:33 toi.

It's not just a goal. Although he is somewhat smaller than some other players who could pursue Toronto, he throws his weight around and has 83 hit-only six of a new career high.

If the Leafs Max Domi's contract drop in a potential deal or say goodbye to Nick Robertson, then Evans fits perfectly into the third line with Bobby McMmann and a returning Calle Jarnkrok.

Knies – Matthews – Marner

Holmberg – Tavares – Nylander

McMann – Evans – Jarnkrok

Lorentz – Kampf – Steeves

Evans and Jarnkror can both play well defensively, and McMmann still gets a playmaker in Evans to keep his goal alive.

In addition, Toronto offers a solid striker of penalty combination with David Kampf and Jarnkrok and Evans a chance to win with his team in the hometown.

It is not the most striking trade that Brad Treliving can do, but it is certainly one of the cheaper offers on the market.

Although there are more than 100 years of heated history between the two teams, you should throw tensions aside and only improve each other once.
