Investigation leads to an arrest of man for illegal weapon, drugs

(Seguin)-The examination of several drive-by shootings in the Seguin area last January led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man.

After completing a one -month investigation, the case department of the police authority from Seguin Christopher Montealvo from Seguin arrested. The arrest also included the restoration of a changed Glock 27, 40 caliber handgun. Officials say that the change of this pistol, also known as a switch, to a fully automatic pistol, a forbidden weapon without special permits and/or licenses in the state of Texas.

On February 19 at 3:30 p.m., the police authority from the Seguin Police Department's police authority carried out a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 5000 block of IH 10 W Access Road, where Montealvo was a passenger.

Montealvo was found in possession of a forbidden weapon (machine gun) and a THC vape cartridge.

Montealvo was then arrested and charged with the possession of a forbidden weapon, the crime of the 3rd degree and the possession of a controlled substance p. 2 State prison sentence. The case unit of the Seguin Police Department will transfer the investigation to the proper federal authority for possible federal fees.

Seguin Police Department officials state that those who commit violent crimes in Seguin to proactively examine and arrest and offer their residents a better quality of life.
