Investigation leads to drug arrest | crime

The Oelwein police authority continued its action against illegal drugs in the community with another investigation, which took place on Wednesday morning, March 12, in the 100 Block of Eightth Avenue NW.

At around 9:50 a.m., the police examined an apartment in the Otter Creek Cottage complex, in which illegal controlled substances were found and confiscated. Two people were arrested and accused during this investigation.

David Lee Roy Smith, 63, from Oelwein, was arrested for possessions with the intention of delivering methamphetamine, class C; Possession with the intention of delivering marijuana, possession of the controlled substance of third parties or subsequent arrest buprenorphine, assemblies in which controlled substances are used, dominion/control of firearm ammunition by a criminal, 4 classes D criminal offenses; Distribution of prescription drugs The first criminal offense, illegal possession of prescription drugs, both serious offenses and possession of drug utensils, simple offenses.

John Stephen Clark, 56, from Oelwein, was charged with the intention, methamphetamine, class -c crimes; Possession with the intention of delivering marijuana, assemblies in which controlled substances are used, both crimes in class D; The illegal possession of prescription drugs, serious offenses and possession of drug utensils, simple offenses.

Smith and Clark were taken into custody and taken to Fayette County prison to wait for a first court appearance. The examination remained.

On Wednesday evening at around 7:30 a.m., the Oelwein police held a search command in the 700 block of the Second Street NW in the residence of Clark. Illegal controlled substances were also found and confiscated in this place.
