“It's incredible”: Why an NFL coach is in love with football in Ohio, Ryan Day

Columbus, Ohio – Pete Carroll has spent most of the past 50 years of roaming football lines, chewing rubber and leading teams to championships at different levels.

However, the 2024 season was different because Carroll removed a year from coaching and instead watched games from his couch.

Like the average fan, he spent most of the time to vote and appreciate the run of Ohio State for a national title.

“It's incredible,” said Carroll on Tuesday at the NFL Scouting Combine. “They continue to fuel the thing with great players. Trainer (Ryan Day) got it going. He knows how to use these good players and ensure that they will continue to stay up to date. “
