Ivan Cordova appointed head coach of the MNU football

Olathe, Kan. – – MNU light athletics director Todd Garrett announced Ivan Cordova The next head coach of the Pioneer football program on Monday. Under Cordova's leadership, the defense of MNU was one of the best in the country and ended in several statistical categories in the top 20, including the assessment of the defense, the sacks, the overall defense and the interceptions. His defense philosophy was significantly involved in the change in the program, the average value average values ​​of the opponents by over 36 points per game and the team's pass defense significantly improved.

Cordova has extensive experience with his coaching career after working for 12 years as a defensive coordinator at Whittier College, Central Washington University, Eastern New Mexico University and New Mexico Highlands University. He also spent time at the NCAA Division 1 level and trained at the University of New Mexico and at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he improved his specialist knowledge in the defense strategy, recruitment and player development. Cordova resorted to FBS Bowl games and won the New Mexico Bowl 2016 against UTSA.

Cordova, a committed mentor on and off the field, is known for his relentless work morality, the attention to detail and his ability to inspire his players to compete at the highest level. He has a BA in history with a specialization in class. Cordova is a committed family man. He and his wife Laura Cordova, a teacher at the parish of Parish School in Leawood, Kansas, are proud parents of five children – Braeden, Nolan, Jackson, Dante and Emma.
