Jacari Brimm shakes Chris Paul's records at West Forsyth High School

Brim now holds the record for points and helps at the West Forsyth High School.

Clemmons, NC – NBA star Chris Paul's basketball career began at the West Forsyth High School. After Paul had set up school records with 1,600 points and 600 templates, he played in the Wake Forest. There he was selected fourth in the NBA design and became one of the big point guards ever in the NBA.

But they know what the saying is, the records should be broken.

“Feel good, you know, only blessed,” said Jacari Brim, Senior Guard in West Forsyth. “I don't want to run out of astonish and say I did Chris Paul. I only have a goal I had when I first came here.”

“Jacari Brimm is a basketball player, but he is a pass first, a second player,” said Marlon Brim, head coach of West Forsyth Boys, basketball coach.

The being of this kind of player made Jacari to be one of the big ones in West Forsyth. Brim exceeded Chris Paul's Markus to achieve over 1600 points and over 600 templates for the titans.

“I have the feeling that it finally like when I stop playing,” said Jacar. “Like Dang, I got an NBA player, an NBA-Hall of Famer. It's not just a one-man show. You have to have a team behind you,” added Brim.

His head coach Marlon, who acts as his father, had a seat in the front row to his success.

“Many people think that he gets special treatment, but he doesn't get any special treatment from me,” said Marlon. “Fact that I am tougher with him because of the things he wants to achieve, and I only started to train him until he came to the high school. A few other people who are friends who trained and developed him.”

“If you look at yourself, you will see your father in coaching posture, and then you will come home and he's just a normal father,” said Jacari. “It's not just basketball, it is to have your father as your role model, the best friend. You can do everything with him.”

Although the father-son duo will complete the high school chapter together, Jacari's legacy is continued in front of the square in West Forsyth.

“It takes some hard work and a really special person is also needed to get to this point,” said Marlon. “I think he's something very special as a basketball player and young man.”

“I want people to address my name and how, yes, he is a really good basketball player, but he is a really good role model in school outside the campus.”
