More JBA members created the list of 2025 “36 under 36” than any other circuit in the state.
Eight members of the Jacksonville Bar Association are in the list of “36 Unt 36” of the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division for 2025.
Selected must “illustrate the highest standards for professionalism and ethics … whose character and integrity remain unshakable even in the most difficult times … and their commitment to increase the bar in the legal call.
Jacksonvilles award winner:
• Shawna AbbatioLOA deputy public defender in the 4th Circle of Justice.
• Naphtalie AzorFounder and asset attorney at Azor Law, who practices discrimination due to discrimination, civil rights and whistleblower.
• Blair ButlerA lawyer for personal injury in the legal offices of Ron Sloles.
• Kyla GeorgeA lawyer at Balch & Bingham, whose practice focuses on questions of trade, health and construction disputes.
• Ronnie GrahamA litigation at Florida Health Justice Project.
• Kayla Haines MistressPresident of the JBA Young Lawyers and Corporate Counsel and Heads of Fusions and Acquisitions of North America at Novastone Capital Advisors.
• Josef HessA deputy lawyer at Rissman who specializes in liability defense.
• Austin ShermanA shareholder of Carr Allison, whose practice focuses on the defense of personal injury, government offenses and public liability, medical misconduct, transport, liability for the premises and trade disputes.
The group was selected from a pool of more than 200 nominated among all lawyers in Florida under 36 years in the 20 judicial circuits.
The 4th judiciary – Clay, Duval and Nassau Counties – has more lawyers on the list this year than any other circuit.
