Jamal Murrays Russell Westbrook declaration after Nuggets-Kings becomes viral

The Denver Nuggets were the NBA champion in 2023, and the street to come back and win again has only become tougher since then. While the Oklahoma City Thunder looks outside of the favorites to take the top seeds in the Western Conference, the nuggets are among the various teams in the mix to capture the second seed.

Wednesday evening against the Sacramento Kings, the Nuggets won 116-110 when they try to take the Red Hot Los Angeles Lakers. While Nikola Jokic is typically in the spotlight for Denver, the Guard Jamal Murray shared his appreciation for another former MVP teammate after the game.

“I feel his energy, he feels me,” said Murray about Russell Westbrook. “… he really began aggression for us, regardless of whether he missed or made, he was the one who initiated us to be physical at the offensive end. I don't know how much he notices, but he has many people in the team who watched him, studying him and everything he did in this league.”

Although Westbrook does not play at the MVP level that he was once with thunder, he still provides this energy-efficient basketball to win the team games. As a starter this season with the Nuggets, Westbrook offers a 20-9 record.
