Janesville FD Battles brushfire for almost 2 hours in rock township

Madison, Wisconsin (WMTV) – The fire brigade of Janesville fought against a brush fire for about two hours on Thursday afternoon.

According to the fire brigade, the crews reacted to the 4,200 block of the Hannover Road in Rock Township shortly before 3:15 p.m.

Officials said that the fire quickly spread through dry vegetation due to windy conditions.

When firefighters were there, there were three separate areas that got out of control.

Several rounds were destroyed before Janesville Firefighters and Footville firefighters had the fire under control. Overall, officials said that four units were sent to the scene.

The Janesville fire brigade reminds Wisconsinite of becoming caution at this time of year.
