Jannik Sinner adds another tennis tournament to his schedule after three months of ban

Jannik Sinner confirmed his participation in another tournament when he prepared for his return to the competition tennis after a three-month ban. The Italian star, which is currently serving a ban on doping, is gradually building its schedule before French Open.

Jannik Sinner number one in the world will play the ATP tournament in Hamburg from May 18 to 24, after his doping ban ending in the construction of the French Open, the organizers confirmed on Tuesday.

“For the first time in his career, Jannik Sinner will compete at the Hamburg Open 2025,” confirmed the organizers of the tournament on social media.

The 23-year-old agreed to a three-month ban in February after he had “partially responsible” for team errors, which led to the fact that in March 2024 he tested twice positively for traces of the forbidden anabolic steroid close.

The incumbent suspension of the US Open and Australian Open Champion ends on May 4th and enables him to return to the French Open in good time for the French Open, the second Grand Slam event of the year.

The Clay Court tournament in Hamburg will be the second event of sinners after its return, since it will also compete in the Italian Open in Rome from 7th to May 18th.

Sünder reached the French Open semi-final last year. This year's tournament should last from May 25th to June 8th.
