Jay County is the next chief football coach to hire Eddie Fields

Jay County Football has his next head coach.

According to a declaration of the school published on Monday evening, the Jay County School Board unanimously voted for the approval of Eddie Fields as the next head coach of the patriots.

“We are very happy to welcome coach Eddie Fields, his wife Jennifer and her son Bryan in the Jay County family. With over 20 years of experience, we look forward to his leadership and the vision for our football program. Coach Fields will make a significant contribution to bringing our team to new heights. Fields is a graduate of Whitko High School and Purdue Fort Wayne. It served as a Cheffußball coach in Manchester for the 2023 season, but stepped back after one year. He spent last season as a co -coach at Wayne County in Georgia. His other coaches include Fort Wayne Elmhurst, Fort Wayne South Side, Manchester University, the Space Coast (Florida), Brantley County (Georgia) and Hannah Pamplico (South Carolina).

The son of Fields, Bryan, played in Wayne County Linebacker last season and will be junior next season. According to the school, the Fields family still lives in Georgia, but has started to return to Indiana to return to Indiana.

Fields will replace Grant Zgunda, who has retired this season after four years of the Jay County program. Zgunda, an Indiana induction induced in Indiana Football Hall of Fame, had a career record of 217-89, but was only 12-29 in his tenure with the patriots.
