Jerell Barber, who was shot in March 2023 for Joliet Eden Bar and Grill, says the police, says the police

Joliet, Ill. (WLS) – Almost two years after a shootout in the suburb, the Joliet police arrested a suspect.

The shootout took place on March 11, 2023 in Eden's Bar and Grill in the Gardner Street around 2:41 a.m.

A woman, 36, had been shot into the leg in the bar. The police said that the shootout was said to have happened outside the bar.

In February 2025, Jerell Barber, 31 by Joliet, was arrested and charged with the severe discharge of a firearm and the illegal possession of a weapon by criminal.

Barber was custody on Friday by US marshals. It is not known whether the police are looking for other suspects.
