Jimmy Kimmel gave Conan O'Brien 'stupid tips' for the organization of Oscars 2025

Conan O'Brien reveals the um, unique Hosting tips Jimmy Kimmel gave him this year's Oscars.

The comedian, 61, revealed that Kimmel, who organized the award ceremony four times, was one of the very first people who congratulated him after the news was triggered that this year's star was taken care of. Kimmel and his wife, the television author Molly McNearney, even supported one step further by giving him some important advice for a recent dinner.

“We met in a restaurant and she and Molly couldn't have been more lovable” Jimmy Kimmel Live. “They gave me all these great tips.”

Kimmel added that he would never have the bile of giving O'Brien Comedy advice, but he thought that he had a few “old man tips”.

“Jimmy is obsessed to sit as far as possible,” said O'Brien that Live Audience. “His tips kept returning: 'Try to sit down! If you can put the joke, sit down!' What are you, Franklin Roosevelt?

The Conan has to go Star admitted that McNearney's instructions were much more helpful. “Molly is very clever and she clearly pays attention to attentive,” he said. “She had all of these very specific, great tips – I mean, she is nice, she is smart, she really knows the show.”

However, he noticed that Kimmel was “obsessed with starters” in the restaurant they had visited.

At this point, Kimmel teased: “The tips are not free!”

“Molly gives me amazing advice on how to organize the Oscars – they were a full waste of time,” joked O'Brien.

A laughing Kimmel replied: “Next year, maybe just you and Molly.”

Kimmel then pressed O'Brien on whether he had actually seen all the films nominated this year or not. “I said People Magazine that I saw all 35,” said O'Brien before I saw a somewhat nervous look at the camera. “And that is printed! What about you? In general, do you watch them all?”
