Journey canceled Houston concert because of electric fire

Due to an electric fire at an event location in Texas, the trip had to leave the stage in the middle of the concerts.

The band set off on Friday, March 14th, in the Houston NRG Stadium in the Houston NRG Stadium, when the band's mega hit in the middle of the fifth songs mega-hit of the band, “Don't Stop Believin '” from 1981-Audio Cut Out Out Out, a fan-adapted video in X-Shows.

When the 71 -year -old founder of Journey Neal, the 57 -year -old singer Arnel Pineda, was crushed, the crowd heard into the choir. Sound – together with a few visuals on stage – stopped abruptly and only let public voices repeat when the confusion broke out, as it could be seen in the feet.

According to fans of the show, a announcer told the crowd that the unplanned break was due to an electric fire and said the trip would continue the show, ABC 13 Houston reported. But the rockers did not return to the stage and the appearance was then canceled, said the outlet.

Another witness told Houston Outlet KPRC that the band had left the stage before the song was over and later inspected the stage with fire extinguishers. Photos that are shared by ABC 13 show employees who examine an area under the drums.

Journey did not deal with the cancellation on social media, but Rodeo Houston, which his rodeo organizes in the multi-purpose-Houston stadium, later shared an official announcement of cancellations on Facebook, citing an electrical problem.

“Due to an unforeseen electrical incident in the stage area, we regretted the cancellation of today's travel concert. We sincerely apologize to all fans for this disappointment, ”the company later made an official announcement on Facebook.

“Our team is working hard to assess the situation, and we will present updates to rescheduling options and keys as soon as possible,” concluded the announcement.

Several local outlets, including KPRC and ABC 13, reported that the “incident” in question was an electric fire – and the fans were not happy to say.

The journalist Paul Gallant, who also recorded the moment that the concert spread to video, announced the clip to X and partly wrote: “The sound died in the middle of this melody. Low point for NRG, really the worst concert location in the city. ”

People later shared their frustration and their understanding of the incident in response to Rodeo Houston on Facebook.

“I'm here,” wrote one person. “People are upset, but unpredictable things happen in everyday life. I am so happy that everyone is safe and have everything under control. ”

Another fan repeated this and explained that he was “so happy that no one was injured during the incident”. “A [sic] Electric fire is very dangerous, “they wrote,” and in an area with so many people it could have been really bad. ”

“We really thought it was part of the show. 70,000 people who “do not stop, perfectly believe”, indispensable, unrested was beautiful! “Another fan shared.” I am glad that everyone in the band and the crew are in order. I am grateful that we are all in order on the show. Counting your blessing, people, things sometimes happen sometimes. ”

The day after the concert on Saturday, March 15th, Rodeo Houston announced that her show planned for this evening would last as planned – and promised updates for those who are waiting for news about the canceled travel show.

“Howdy! We look forward to organizing Rodeohouston® and Warren Zeiders today as planned, ”wrote the company on Facebook. “The stage will work as usual and we will organize all activities in the stadium and on the reasons as originally planned.”

“For those who took part in the travel concert, we will soon follow more information,” concluded the post office. “Thank you, and see you on the show!”
