Judge sentences nc man who used Glock Switch in Shisha Lounge shooting

Greenville, NC (WMBF) – A man from Robeson County spend a decade in the federal prison after he has admitted to opening fire in a shisha lounge.

The 24 -year -old Michai Caldwell owed himself guilty in October to own a machine gun. He fired a series of shots from a caliber weapon of 0.40, which was equipped with a bell switch that converts a gun into a machine gun.

A judge sentenced Caldwell to 10 years in prison on Thursday.

Documents show that Caldwell in June 2024 in the Anubis Shisah Lounge in Fayetteeville, NC, in which Anubis Shisah Lounge was involved.

The disagreement was diffuse and Caldwell, together with several other customers, the building was brought out and the lounge was closed.

A short time later, Caldwell came back and was confronted by security when he tried to step back into the Shisha Lounge.

Caldwell shot a number of shots that met several victims, including a victim who lost their right eye.

After the shootout, Caldwell led the police on a high -speed hunt, where the speed reached over 120 miles per hour.

In the end he came away from the officers, but was finally caught a few weeks later.
