Jury condemns Campland by the Bay murderer of the fatal shootout – NBC 7 San Diego

A suspect who was accused of having killed another man whom he shared a whirlpool in the bay in the spring of 2023 in the bay was found to be guilty due to murder's second degree in a courtroom in the city center.

The 40 -year -old Michael Callahan was convicted on February 28th Ryan Abbott, who was 49 years old at the time of his death. A spokeswoman for the district of the district in San Diego announced NBC 7 on Wednesday that Callahan, who is recorded without a deposit, was traced back to court on April 12 if he could receive a prison sentence of up to 40 years for life.

The shootout occurred as a popular Mission Bay Spot for families to camp and make their children play.

The shootout occurred in the night of May 16, 2023 in the northern part of Mission Bay in a place where families played for camping and with their children.

During Callahan's indictment it became known that he disagreed with Abbott near the pool area. According to investigators, the accused then left briefly, then returned and shot Abbott's chest.

Abbott was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Callahan ran away after the shootout, but was found in his motorhome in the park, according to investigators
