Justin Gaethje hopped the head of the UFC veteran from the ground to record the fastest victory of his career

Justin Gaethje proved that he was more than a wrestler very early in his MMA career.

The fans believe to believe that he was something special when UFC Bogyman Edson Barboza was also slept – but he struck the opponents long before UFC boss Dana White called him to the big leagues.

By October 2012, Justin Gaethje was a 5-0 prospect with a little hype.

The future UFC title candidate brought things to the next stage by facing 61-year-old veteran Drew Fickett.

At the height of his powers, Fickett had seven fights in the UFC against Nick Diaz and Josh Koscheck, which he fought in October 2005.

However, he had lost five of his last six fights when he agreed with a young Gaethje.

It was the perfect opportunity for the future interim UFC champion to achieve a big win in his record.

When the time came, Gaethje Fickett beat in 12 seconds to take the fastest victory in his career.

A massive right hook that was neatly connected before Gaethje Fickett followed the floor with a flying blow.

Several ground strikes had bounced off the veteran's head from the canvas before the referee jumped in to save it – but it was too late when Fickett was already attacked by Gaethje's malignant.

What's next for Justin Gaethje?

Gaethje will earn another 155 -pound fight at UFC 313 in Las Vegas on March 8.

A highly expected co-main event with five rounds with Dan Hooker will be in the way of the next weekend.

A victory could bring him in line to face Islam Makhachevv after he had previously lost to his teammate Khabib Nuramgomedov, of which he believes that he is a much harder matchup than the current pound for pound number one.
