K League 2 sets up a new visitor record in the Incheon-Bluewings-Match

AK League 2 Match between Incheon United and Suwon Samsung Bluewings at the Incheon Football Stadium in Incheon on Saturday recorded 18,282 spectators and broke the previous all -time high of 15:308 in 2024.

The game on Saturday was sold out when fans from both sides packed the stadium, which used to be a battlefield for K League 1 teams, including Incheon itself.

This season is the first time that Incheon has been in the second division since the K-Liga passed in 2013. Incheon went back to K League 2 after ending last season last season in K League 1.

But Incheon's berth in the K League 2 has not yet held the club from moving fans to their stadium, as can be seen on Saturday. Incheon had a long story in which the K League 1 survived before the 2024 season, sitting routinely at the end of the table until the middle of the season and somehow creating itself to avoid relegation.

This season, Incheon offers the opportunity to make the advertising history against the Bluewings, which were exposed to K League 2 in 2023, to make the top level in 2023 by ending in the last place.

The Bluewings are a strong competitor in the K League 2 in this campaign with years of experience in K League 1, where they have won the League title four times and five Korean FA trophies -now mentioned as Korea Cup.

The Suwon team was part of the reason why the K League 2 in the second division last season had the highest total number of spectators in the second division, since the club set up the previous record in a single K League 2 game in a single K League 2 game against the Ansan Greeners in November.
