Kalen Deboer reveals the list to injuries when spring starts football

Tuscaloosa, ala. – Alabama returned to the training field on Monday, March 3, when Alabama began his spring practice in 2025 to prepare for the 2025 football season, starting on August 30 against Florida State in Tallahasee, Florida.

With the spring ball on Monday, Alabama will be without a handful of important starter when spring football begins. Others are limited because they recover from injuries from the end of the 2024 football season.

Kalen Deboer spoke to the media and revealed the injuries for Alabama's football:

“I will only read those who will be traveling for spring,” said Deboer. “Alex Asparuhov, David Bird, Bubba Hampton will be outside, Kavonte Henry, Domini Jackson, Deontae Lawson, Danny Lewis Jr. and Keon Sabb.”

“We have some people who will be limited …” said Deboer. “Justin Jefferson, Kadyn Proctor, James Smith. Pretty much most of these injuries date from last season.”

For those who count at home, this is five starters from last season who are traveling in spring football or will be limited, and three other projected starter on the 2025 squad will be limited.

Despite the injuries, Alabama's head coach, Kalen Deboer, was optimistic about the repetitions that younger players would offer on the roster.

“It is possible to build a little depth with these high school students,” said Deboer.
