KBI examines the civil servants in Kansas City, Kansas

Kansas City, Kan. (Wibw) – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) leads an investigation into a shootout involved by officer, which took place in Kansas City, Kansas early Sunday morning.

The Kansas City police authority, Kansas, applied for the support of the KBI after the incident had taken place on Sunday around 6 a.m.

According to early reports, the situation began around 4 a.m. when a man, who was later identified as a 34-year-old Brian Hilt from Kansas City, Missouri, damaged ownership in order to gain access to a residential building in the 700 block of the Nebraska Avenue. Monitoring material from the scene showed that the Hilt was armed with a weapon.

At around 5:10 a.m. a fire alarm went out and prompted the fire brigade of Kansas, the fire brigade of Kansas (KCKFD). While firefighters were on site, they noticed the damage and contacted the police. Not long afterwards, a resident called 911 to report an armed disturbance in the building.

When the officials arrived, they came across a hallway in a hallway. According to the authorities, Hilt refused to follow the commands to drop his gun, which led to a confrontation in which shots were fired. Despite the efforts to provide medical help at the crime scene, the Hilt was later declared dead for dead injuries. No officers were injured in the incident.

The KBI carries out an independent examination of the shootout, using preliminary evidence and statements by witnesses and civil servants. These first results are not final and a complete examination will take several weeks.

After completion, KBI will submit his findings to the public prosecutor's office of the Wyandotte district.
