KCTCS regent report on the upward trend on the enrollment, highlights of actions in the meeting

According to KCTCS Spring 2025 registration report, more and more students of all student classification have registered at the Board of Regents Meeting in one of the 16 colleges of the Kentucky Community and Technical College Systems.

The overall offer this spring is 71,849 students, an increase of 71,849 students, an increase of 7.1% compared to a year ago. The full-time equivalent registration rose by 3,120 students or 8.3%.

Students seeking students increased by 14.1%, the students of the workforce and the non -duration by 9.0%, and students rose by 0.5%.

“These registration increases are not only KCTCs, but also for the future of the Kentucky workforce and our state and regional economies,” said Ryan Quarles, President of KCTCS. “I thanked our students for the selection of KCTCs and our faculties, employees, marketing teams and recruiters for their efforts to promote these extraordinary registration gains.”

More highlights are:

• Adults or not traditional students From the age of 25, 9.8% increased by 9.8% compared to the same period last year, which made 30.5% of the total registration.

• A total of 14 KCTCS Colleges reported on an increase in employees compared to the previous year, with the most important profits at Henderson with 17.2%, gateway at 13.9%, Somerset with 13.8%and with 10%.

• All universities had growth In full-time equivalent registration with Henderson, Gateway, Hopkinsville, Somerset and SouthCentral, all of which show an increase of 10% or more last year.

• exceeded eleven colleges Your official enrollment in total from last year. These colleges include Ashland, Bluegrass, Gateway, Hazard, Henderson, Hopkinsville, Jefferson, Maysville, Owensboro, Somerset and SouthCentral.

In action elements, the regents:

• Ratified KCTCS candidates for login informationIncluding 4,272 candidates for a total of 5,664 registration information that was earned between September 28th and January.

• approved a 3 million dollar project To improve the HLK and equipment controls for the Big Sandy Community and Technical College on the campus in Mayo, Prestonsburg and Hager Hill. The equipment has reached your life expectancy.

• Accepted proposed changes to the charter of the examination committee recommended by Dean Dorton in order to deal with the changes in the best practices in industries.

• Approved setting aside A budget reserve of 3.25% for the next financial year.

• approved a solution This will remind you of the choice of KCTCs to output bonds and authorize the employees to announce the necessary administrative regulation.

• ratified Personnel actions.

• revised the board process For the election of student regents to move elections to spring so that the members can take part in the educational opportunities of the council on post -confidence in addition to their colleagues from other colleges and universities throughout Kentucky.

• approved a revised name guideline Campus to offer more flexibility to name buildings to recognize important gifts.

The board heard a large number of reports, including the president's report, the president's report, the security master plan, the forensic examination, the finance committee, the examination board, the tuition fees, the budget scenarios for the remuneration of employees, the updating of registration information and permits, strategic planning, philanthropy, workforce and economic development, balance sheet revisions and voting regulations, online -Learing and a legislative report.

The board also met in the executive meeting to discuss proposed or outstanding legal disputes.

The next meeting of the regents will take place from June 12th to 13th at the Elizabethtown Community and Technical College.
