Kentucky basketball against Troy: How to watch and stream, pick and path to the last four

March Madness has arrived, my friends!

Only 11 months after Mark Pope took over the Kentucky basketball chief trainer job, he not only led the wildcats to the NCAA tournament, but also to a 3-seed. Kentucky fell in the first round in two of the last three seasons in the first round, while the program has not been on the second weekend since 2019.

Will Pope earn his first NCAA tournament victory and make a run?

The first challenger will be the 14-seed troy trojan. Troy under the direction of head coach of the sixth year, Scott Cross, has performed Troy since 2017 and her third Ever Ncaa tournament.

The Trojans are described as a mid-major version of Texas A&M and are a stubborn group with some strong defensive and rebellious metrics. They are exactly the kind of team that can rejuvenate things and can make this into an ugly NCAA tournament game, in which no team builds up a big lead while they scratch and scratch.

Let's take a look at the Matchup.

Win the back battle battle

The strongest consequence of the Trojans is their offensive relaxation, which nationally took fourth place in offensive back -up percentages (37.7%) and nationwide in offensive rebound per game (11.8).

Fortunately for the wildcats, they saw and beat several teams that stand out in offensive categories, including Texas A&M (1st), Florida (8th) and Duke (25th).

Kentucky will have a size advantage because Troy's highest starter 6-foot 8 is. However, they attack the boards as a team. The wildcats must be the team that it wants more.

Dictate the pace

Troy is a team who wants to play at a slow pace and “Mist It Up”, which in the past was the recipe for NCAA tournament disorders. While you want to believe that Kentucky can dominate a 14-seed, this Trojaner team will probably not suffer this.

Troy is a sneaky sports team, but Kentucky has the size advantage and the talent advantage. Set up your will to an inferior team.

Or, as Mark Fox tells the team: “Be awesome, not the nail.”

Win the sales battle

Troy's second largest strength is her ability to achieve sales and force her opponents to shoot the ball more than 13 times per game, with an average of nine steals per game.

However, you also have difficulty taking care of the ball and coughing the ball more than 13 times per game on average. Expect that this game is high in the sales number.

What was once a strength for Kentucky who took care of the ball was a challenge because the wax injuries over the season grown. In the last nine games, Kentucky has made the ball an average of 12.5 times per game, including 16 against Alabama in the SEC tournament.

As powerful as the wildcat punishment is, you cannot afford to give up owners, to allow a below-average Troy team to take a look.

Kentucky Wildcats Basketball -Weg to Final Four

If you look at Kentucky's bracket, there shouldn't be many complaints.

Houston is the worst of the 1-seeds. Kentucky gets one of the 2-seeds, which they know well and hit Tennessee twice. The Vols are still a very dangerous team, but that's still cheaper than … say, Alabama as 2-seeds.

There are some dangerous double -digit seeds in the state of Mcneese and Utah. However, there are no obvious “Matchup album dreams” for Kentucky. Even without Jaxson Robinson, everyone in Kentucky's region seems to be beaten, which did not look like we could say if teams like Alabama, Florida or Auburn were there.

Another important advantage is the trip. From a geographical point of view, Milwaukee and Indianapolis are the best websites for fans that are closed to Kentucky fans and is clearly manageable, especially with a trainer Pope who are ready to help with gas money.

Is Kentucky preferred to make the Final Four from this region? In fact, Fanduel Kentucky gives the fourth best chances to win it at +1000. Houston (+120) and Tennessee (+370) are obviously ahead, but you will be surprised that you will see 8-seed gonzaga with better opportunities of +800.

Have injuries violated the ceiling of this list? Yes. In March it is about giving yourself an opportunity. Pope and the cats have the chance to make some noise. And you never know when upsets open a region much more than it is ahead of the big dance.

Overall, the way would probably be Troy, Illinois in Orlando Antigua Bowl, Tennessee, round 3 and a Houston team, which is the most likely 1-seed to create the final four.

Disprovable, but not impossible.
