Kingda Ka Coaster was destroyed with explosion at Six Flags: watch the collapse video

After an almost 20-year run, the king fell.

On Friday, February 28th, the famous Kingda Ka -Echterbahn at Six Flags Great Adventures in Jackson, NJ, was imploded and ended his term as the highest assetant in the world.

On Thursday, the Ocean County public prosecutor shared a joint warning in relation to “a number of quick explosions” for Jackson Township. “The noises may be amazing, but please do not alerted. Keep pets inside if you are sensitive to loud noises,” was the contribution. “If you or someone you know are affected by loud noises, you will take the necessary precautionary measures.”

An air video recorded by FOX29 Philadelphia shows several explosions at the base of the highest summit of the coasters and then slowly the steel structure together until it hits the floor in a cloud of smoke.

The demolition was announced as part of the investment of the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation in their theme parks last November with a price of over 1 billion US dollars.

The loved one was one of several attractions that should be destroyed to make room for newer trips this year and in 2026. As reported by the USA Today, other sun tracks will include green lantern, twister and parachutes. The Sky Walk will also be removed for future developments.

While many New Jerseyans are reluctant to welcome the replacement trips, thrill searchers are not briefly preferred in relation to one of the upcoming trips. According to the official website, a new journey called the Flash: Vertical speed “North America's first great boomerang coaching” and only the second of its kind in the world will be.

“We understand that it can be difficult to say goodbye to the beloved trips and we appreciate the passion of our guests,” said Park President Brian Bacica in a statement at that time. “These changes are an important part of our growth and commitment to providing extraordinary new experiences.”

As far as the coaster debut is concerned in 2026, no name has yet been assigned, but it is already led as a “brand new, multi-record breaking start coaster”. Bacica said it would be “an attraction that captures the imagination of the fans”.

The new attractions have to fill some large rails when Kingda Ka took the drivers 45 floors and they started in just 50 seconds with 128 miles per hour. According to reports, it has also made over 12 million trips since its debut in 2005.
