Knight on the strong start at Miac Heptathlon

Collegeville, Minn. – Soren Kaster Went 4-against-4 when he set new personal best and is after the first day of competition in the heptathlon at the Miac Indoor Athletics Championships. Teammate Reese Anderson is currently the ninth place after building three new PRS.

Kaster started the two-day competition with seven events by taking second place in the 60-meter-dash with a career lettuce of 7.26 to collect 792 points. Anderson took the seventh overall at the best 7.44 in all and received 732 points.

In the long jump, Kaster took fourth place after measuring a colleague 6.18 meters, good for 626 points. In the meantime, Anderson's last attempt was his best from the meeting and scored 580 points after picking up 5.97 meters to ninth place in the event.

Kaster's first attempt in The Shut Put was his personal best by more than six inches and measures 10.96 meters to add 543 points to its total. Anderson's best performance came in his third attempt when he scored 482 points after a measurement of 9.94 meters to improve his former PR by eight inches.

Kaster loosened the bar at the high jump at 1.70 meters, set up another PR and accepted 544 points on his total. Anderson founded a personal best and belonged to four competitors who ended at 1.64 meters to collect 496 points.

After four events, Kaster has accumulated 2,505 points, while Anderson is 2,290 points.

Next for the knights

Day 2 of the Miac Indoor Heptathlon begins at 10:00 a.m. The rest of the roster begins the competition with field events at 4:00 p.m. and follows the events at 4:30 p.m.
