Knuff claims that the second team All-America honors on day 1 of the national championships

Virginia Beach, va. – University of Cincinnati men's and women's light athletics for men and women Justin Abrams and senior Abby Knuff represented the bearcats on the first day of the competition at the NCAA Indoor National Championships in the Virginia Beach Sports Center on Friday.

Knouff took 11th place in the pole vault after he had reached a 4.25 m brand and received the second team all-America honors. The third Pole Vault All-American in program history is the one from Tallmadge, Ohio. Adrian Valles reached the status of all-America status six times and Mackenzie Fields did it in 2013. This is Knuff's second time that he was appointed as the second team All-American. Before that, she received the honor during the 2024 outdoor season.

Abrams ended the first day on the heptathlon on the 12th place with a total of 3115 points, with the 60 m hurdle, the pole vault and 1000 m for the second day of competition remain. The native of the Colerain Township was excellent in the high jump and demanded fifth place with a jump of 2.00, which earned him 803 points.

In the put put, Abrams had a throw of 13.01 m, ninth place and 668 points. Abrams ran a 7.06 60 m-through one another, which took it to third place in Section 1, which, however, received the 11th overall and won 861 points. In the long jump, Abrams secured 783 points after jumping around the 12th place by 6.87 m.
