Kolpan resets the school record in Javelin on a trip to South Carolina

Myrtle Beach, SC -The Franklin & Marshall Herren -a -Alichtachtacht team started his outdoor season at the Myrtle Beach College Challenge at the weekend. The diplomats competed against the school at all levels of the NCAA, whereby the meeting was emphasized by the return of all-American Justin Kolpan His own school record broke in the spear.

After ninth place at the NCAA championships, Kolpan triggered the second best throw in the early part of the season of Division III with a brand of 61.61 meters and brought its previous record of 61.04 meters. Dustin Stoetzel Was the second F&M finisher in the hammer (42.17 m) and in the Javelin (45.43 m) with its new personal best in the hammer throwing ranking in school history. Laurence Miller The team led events both in the Shot Put (11.22 m) and the discus (33.67 m) and earned in both top -50 surfaces.

Owen McCann registered the third fastest 3,000-meter race in school history (8: 55.13) and earned a top 10 finish in this event. Elliott Coulter was the top sprinter for the diplomats when he recorded the 20th best time in Division III this season for the 100 meters with a time of 11.03 seconds. Tommy Tapino (4: 23.85) and Holden Brown (4: 24.04) earned the 16th and 17th place in the 1,500 meters while Alex Miller was 16th in the obstacle with a time of 10:28:30.

The outdoor athletics season will continue with the Little Three Meet this coming weekend, since the hammer throw takes place in Gettysburg on Saturday, March 22nd, before the rest of the events take place in Dickinson on Sunday, March 23.
