Krishna Jayasankar sets Indoor Women's Shot sets national record in the United States

India Krishna Jayasankar Shattered the National record in the women shot on Mountain West Indoor Athletics Championships 2025 Athletics Meet on Saturday in Albuquerque, USA.

With a throw of 16.03 meters, 22-year-old Krishna Jayasankar also became the first Indian athlete To violate the 16 -m brand in the indoor shot of women.

India of former national indoor record in the women's indoor shot was held by Poornarao Rane, which was headed by 15.54 m at the indoor lighting athletics championships of the American Athletic Conference 2023.

India's national record of 18.41 million outdoor in the Women's Shot belongs to Abha Khatua, who achieved performance at the 2024 Federation Cup.

Krishna, a daughter of the former Indian basketball player Prasanna and Jayasankar Menon were third in Albuquerque behind Mya Lesnar (19.02 m) and Gabby Morris (17.09 m). Mya is the daughter of the American professional wrestler Brock Lesnar.
