LACA organizes Special St. Patrick's Day Performance

The Ludington Area Center for the Arts will be open on Sunday, March 16, at 4 p.m. at 4 p.m. at 4 p.m. at 3:30 p.m. to organize Ben Traverse & The Little River Ceilidh Band.

Volkssinger, Balladener, Pedagogue, Songwriter and Earthwork Music Collective Member Traverse orders a wide range of instruments in his mission to bring the best traditional folk music to the 21st century. Traverse Michigan and beyond that stories and truths are as old as the hills travels with deep roots in the state of Great Lakes.

From the rich history of American, Celtic, English and maritime traditions, traverse is supported in the present. Regardless of whether they perform solo, work with other musicians or work in a pedagogical environment, not only appreciate the audience a deeper understanding, but also appreciation for this historical art and the context under which they flourished.

Tickets cost 15 US dollars in advance and 20 US dollars on the door. Tickets can be purchased from Laca during normal business hours or online at Ludingtonartscenter.org.

All tickets bought from Laca contain a voucher for 2 US dollars from their first pint at Jamesport Brewing Co. and Ludington Bay Brewing. This special offer is good 30 days after the concert date before the ticket.

Traverse has released three albums: a solo collection of old-time ballads in the spirit of Pete Seeger and early folkway recordings, a rousing album by Sea Shanties and Maritime Music with Michael Dause and another with Nick Veine, celebrating music from Irish Dispora.

The Ludington Area Center for the Arts is located in 107 S. Harrison Street in downtown Ludington. The operating times of the art center are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
