LAPD examines morning shots in Pacacima

A shooting examination was carried out in the San Fernando Valley on Monday.

The investigators believe that the victim was shot on the way to work.

What we know:

Officials from the Los Angeles police department said that shortly after 6 a.m. because of a man who was bleeding, after the shot near Van Nuys and Laurel Canyon Boulevards in Pacoima.

The investigators said that the shooting victim was on his bike when he got into a confrontation with the suspect at some point and was shot several times.

The victim then got off the bike and went to a nearby shop in which he collapsed.

A passerby stopped to carry out CPR, and probably saved the victim's life.

He was taken to the hospital in a critical condition. The police hope that he will recover completely.

What we don't know:

A description of a possible suspect was not available and the victim's name was not published.

The investigators believe that he was on the way to work when he was shot.
