Laredo offers free bulky item collection for districts from March to May

The City of Laredo Solid Waste Services begins in March its free brush and bulky object service and encourages residents to maintain the aesthetic attractiveness of the city.

With planned pick -up, the Laredo resident initiative offers the opportunity to dispose of large, bulky objects responsibly, which are difficult to manage in themselves.

Collection days after district:

The residents have to place their objects on their planned collective day at 7 a.m. on the sidewalk and make sure that nothing hinders. With this period, waste management teams can efficiently collect the planned articles.

The collective service enables the disposal of various types of bulky waste, including furniture, boxing sources, swing, bicycles, plastic swimming pools, mattresses, carpets, large toys and household appliances.

In order to maintain the security standards and comply with the environmental regulations, the residents are reminded that electronic waste – including televisions and computer equipment – are not accepted auto parts, dangerous materials such as colors and solvents as well as with the title “vehicles or boats”. Similarly, building materials, including rocks, concrete, asphalt, gravel and dirt, are not collected.

“Let us keep our city clean and beautiful,” said the city in an explanation.

For further inquiries or detailed information, the residents are asked to call 311 or 956-796-1098. Laredos Community can actively participate in the collection of the free brush and the bulky article, and can work together to improve the attractiveness of the city and to ensure a cleaner urban space.
