A winter storm that gathered in the eastern Rockies at the beginning of this week will follow the east to the Midwest by the middle of this week. Rain showers are expected on Monday afternoon to Tuesday afternoon and then late Tuesday to Tuesday evening. The rain mixes up and changes to snow when cool air overturns the region from Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning. Snow is expected on Wednesday and could be difficult from morning to early afternoon, especially north and west of Wausau.
