League Pass play of the day: Minnesota Timberwolves against Miami Heat (8 et)

The Timberwolves and the heat will compete in Miami on Friday.

The Minnesota Timberwolves (35-29) are located on Friday (8 et, League Pass) in South Beach to face the Miami Heat (29-32) and aim at their fourth victory in a row. The heat achieved a win of 95-94 at her last meeting on November 10th in Minneapolis.

Five things you should know before this matchup:

1. Anthony Edwards chose: After a suspension on February 28, Edwards returned to Phoenix with an excellent performance and scored 44 points with 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals. Edwards, the quarterly scorer of the NBA (27.5 ppg), followed with 29 points and 6-against-13 shootings from three in the victory on Wednesday. He was also the first player in the NBA story to reach 250 threes in a season 25 years ago.

2. A favorable schedule for Minnesota: The easiest schedule of the West has the wolves by winning opponents. Seven of their last 18 games are against teams with profit records. Currently seventh in the west, Minnesota is only four games behind the fourth Memphis Grizzlies to climb the overall ranking.

3. Julius Randle back for wolves: Randle returned from a groin injury that exposed him for February and has since helped the wolves to have a 3-0 record. It achieves an average of 20.3 points, 8.0 rebounds and 5.7 assists in 33 minutes per game. Randle almost scored his first triple double of the season with 25 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists on Wednesday.

4. Bam Adebayo heated: Adebayo recently was 21.2 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists in February. He started it in March and achieved 27.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game, including a season high of 34 points against Cleveland on Wednesday.

5. Tyler Herro could return: Herro missed the game on Wednesday with a head cold, but is expected again on Friday. The All-Star 2024-25 is on average career height in points (23.9), Field Goal percentage (45.9), assists (5.7) and minutes (35.6). Herro led Miami with 26 points in November victory against Minnesota and will be the key to the No. 6 position in the east, which is currently held by the Detroit Pistons (35-28).
