Lehi Utah Tempel Rendering published – church news

The first presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Saints of the last few days has published a rendering for Lehi Utah Tempel, the northernmost house of Lord in Utah County.

The rendering gives a first look at the multi -storey building of around 85,000 square meters, which are to be built at a location of 22.48 hectares. There is also a meeting house on the site, which is located northwest of the 3950 North Center Street 3950 North Center.

This rendering was first released on Monday, February 24th, on Churchofjesuschrist.org. The first presidency published the Lehi Temple location on April 22, 2024.

After the rendering, this house of the Lord will have high rectangular windows that surround the off-white outer outer man with a tower and a pointed tower on the center of the building.

The President of the Church of Russell M. Nelson announced a temple for Lehi on April 7, 2024. It was one of 15 new temple locations that he identified in the Sunday afternoon meeting of the General Conference from April 2024.

After his construction, the Lehi Temple will be the northernmost of eight houses of the Lord in Utah County. The other seven are the Saratoga Springs, Mount Timpanogos, Lindon (in construction), Orem, the Provo Rock Canyon (undergone), Provo city center and Payson temple.

Temple in Utah

Utah currently has 31 houses of the Lord who are under construction or have announced. The 21 operational temples of the state are the rich city of Brigham, Cedar City, Deseret Peak, Draper, Jordan River, Layton, Logan, Manti, Monticello, Mount Timpanogos, Oquirrh Mountain, Orem, Payson, Provo City Center, Red Cliffs, Saratoga Springs, St. George, Taylorsville and Vernal Temple.

Two committed temples are under renovation, the Temple Salt Lake and Provo Utah Rock Canyon. Syracuse Utah Tempel announced in April 2020 will be devoted to June 8 after an open day from May 10th to 31st.

Utah has four temples under construction – in Ephraim, Heber Valley, Lindon and Smithfield, all of which had groundbreaking ceremonies in 2022. The temple West Jordan and Price – both announced in 2024 and the first was announced during the same general conference session as the Lehi Temple – are in planning phases.

Utah, now with almost 2.2 million saints of the past few days in more than 5,400 municipalities, houses four houses from the Lord's pioneer era, which are dedicated in the 19th century.

Two days after the pioneers of the saints arrived at Salt Lake Valley for the first time in 1847, the president of the church, Brigham Young, drove his stick into the Salt Lake Temple and said: “Here should be the temple of our God.”
