Little Juke – departures from the intellectual states (self -published)

March 1, 2025

They say that it is best to write about what they know. And what does anyone know closer than their daily life, thoughts and feelings, routines and experiences, hopes and fears, ups and downs? And so, Little jukeThe debut album, the beautifully named Deviations from the intellectual states, is an almost dialya -like suite of songs that enable us to hike with them through their everyday life.

And when the autobiographical nature of the texts is a brave step, they are just as adventurous and songs that hike around many indie-infused landscapes, mix them with rock, pop, Britpop and even find a folk fesse and R&B-controlled grooviness.

“Round of Applause” is the killer anthem that Britpop would have defined, or at least the powerful, rocky, brutal ending, would be thirty years ago. In contrast, “Time on My Mind” runs, which follows Bowie'S Berlin Years, John Williams'Film suddenly achieved and an almost prog rock creativity.

“Death of the handshake” is remarkable. It is an outstanding track on an album of outstanding tracks. It is a western indie melody with eastern, Arabesque sounds, the perfect meeting of Occidental Groove and Oriental spice.

Deviations from the intellectual states Is a remarkable album that shifts kaleidoscopically in and out of the indie kingdom, safely dances through any number of neighboring generic pastures and dances cleverly and finely. Great!
