Live streamer killed in Tokyo Street, her situation was followed by stream by attacker

The murderer came from two hours on the morning of the attack.

On Wednesday morning, Airi Sato went along a quiet road along the city center Tokios Takadanobaba Neighborhood when she was suddenly attacked by a man with a knife. The 22-year-old Sato, who was in the middle of live streaming, suffered several wounds on the face, neck and upper body and died to the hospital shortly after arrival.

Their attacker was arrested at the site of the crime and was identified as a 42-year-old Kenichi Takano. While he was taken into custody, Takano was heard that he had given Sato, which she had not repaid, and during the question he had borrowed around 2 million yen (13,600 US dollars) after he had indebted himself for the procurement of the money.

The attack took place shortly before 10 a.m., but only two hours before Takano was not even in Tokyo. Takano lives in the city of Oyama In Prefecture tochigiFrom where it is about a two -hour train journey to Takadanobaba.

Sato was also not based in the district of Takadanobaba because she lived in Tama, part of Tokyo, much further west of the city center. However, Takano knew that Sato would be in the city center of Tokyo this morning because she had posted online that she had posted a live stream from the Yamanote loop line from Takadanobaba live from the Yamanote loop on Thursday morning. “The night before I saw an indication that Sato-San would make a live stream while I was walking around in the city center of Tokyo. On the morning of the 12th I went to Tokyo”. After Takano had seen that Sato had come out of the train in the Takadanobaba station, he did the same, and since he knew in which direction she had gone from there and what she was wearing from the observation of the brook, he could recognize her on the street, close and made his attack before she was ready to defend or flee herself.

After his arrest, Takano claimed that he was not intended to kill Sato, but her autopsy found that it was stabbed more than 30 times. It is therefore extremely unlikely that the indictment against him from murder to homicide, and the work of the public prosecutor will now most likely turn to determine his mental fitness to encourage and punish after the death of Sato.
