Tornado warning sirens sounded when lightning lighted up the sky in parts of Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas on Wednesday morning.

A strong series of heavy storms brings dangerous winds, hail and tornados from south to the east coast. Damage is reported throughout Dallas-Fort Worth, and hundreds of thousands of people have lost power. Here are the latest news.

(9:25 am est) It's snow now. Blizzard conditions ahead

In the past hour, the rain quickly converted to Wet Snow from the east of Colorado and the outermost northwest of Kansas into parts of South Dakota.

FLIGHTARARY.com reports that more than 200 flights from the International Airport of Dallas-Fort Worth are canceled when the area sees storms.

According to Poweroutage.com, more than 200,000 customers are without electricity in North Texas. Some structures in the region have damage due to the storms.
