Lori Berman entered laws to improve the water quality in Florida

Boynton Beach democratic sen. Lori Berman presented a new invoice (SB 1646) to improve the water quality of the sunshine state and the protection of public health.

The legislator has determined that the negative health effects of lead exposure in children and adults have been well documented and that no safe blood mirror was determined in children.

The training program must contain separate components to remedy Red Tide and Blue Green Algae and to contain guidelines, protocols and associated training programs to protect the health of people who regularly work near harmful algae flowers.

The Fish and wildlife protection commission It would be obliged to take into account the work of the “Red Gede Development in Florida” initiative and the technology development in order to develop a model for implementing an early warning system for red tides. The model would have to be used by July 1, 2027.

After the development, the water administration district, every county and each community would have to submit a schedule for the implementation of the plan within their respective jurisdiction, including schedules for the conclusion and the expected tax effects.

In addition, the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the South Florida Water Management District would continue to work to introduce measures that reduce the nitrogen content in the Okeechobesee and improve water quality in the Upper St. Johns River Basin. You must regularly monitor and report on the best management practices and the maximum daily charges of management.
