Loud music leads to argument and shoots home outside of North Philly: Police

A man was taken to the hospital after the police said he confronted people in front of his house in Northern Philadelphia early Tuesday morning.

What we know:

According to music, two vehicles on the 2500 block of the North Palethorp Street were heard around 1:30 a.m.

When a 38-year-old man went in front of his house to face them, there was an argument.

The police said it was escalating when someone pulled out a weapon in one of the vehicles and fired at least five shots.

The victim was shot in the stomach and ran back to his house.

Family members hurried to the hospital, where he is in a stable state.

What's next:

No arrests were made and no possible suspects were published.

The police hope to collect further evidence of surveillance cameras in the region.
