LRAPA offers tips before the outdoor burning time outdoors outdoors

With the opening of the season, people can legally burn and brush dry branches. But before you start your fire stack, there are a few things to consider:

Who can burn?

  • The residents of Eugene and Florence within the city limits cannot burn garden waste regardless of the lot size.
  • The residents of Springfield and those who burn at least half a hectare or larger in their urban growth boundary need land.
  • The inhabitants of the urban growth boundary of Eugene need land at least 2 acres or larger to burn them.
  • The residents of Oakridge and these in other parts in Lane County can take part in burning outdoors regardless of the lot size.

Burn tips and requirements

  • Make sure that the debris piles are completely dry and kept dry until the combustion conditions are favorable.
  • Always monitor active combustion heaps and delete them completely until the end of the daily consulting window.
  • No overnight stay is permitted overnight.
  • Only woodworkers – garbage, treated wood or green garden waste.
  • Look at alternatives such as composting or wood scout, if possible.

According to LRAPA, you will issue daily advice so that the residents let you know if burning is permitted every day to negatively influence the region on the region.

The agency says that the spring burning season finally ends in June.
