LSU football remains in contact with the five-star quarters backpack committee in Texas Longhorns

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage Five-star quarters back diabar remains a sought-after goal for the LSU Tigers, although they verbally committed the Texas Longhorns in June last June.

Bell went to the stock exchange with a decision after visiting several visits in the summer, with Brian Kelly's program also received one.

It is not a secret offensive coordinator and quarterback coach Joe Sloan is a recruitment guru, and although he was missing on Bell in summer, he stays in his ear.

The 6-foot 3, 190 pounder from the Sunshine State is the No. 2 Quarterback in America with an offer list that includes the “Who is who” of college football.

LSU, Alabama, Texas and most recently Georgia have extended all scholarships for Bell in the recruitment scene throughout his process.

Bell is the son of the former NBA star Raja Bell, and despite the handling of the business on the square, his bread and butter are on the rust.

“My father always encouraged me to do all sports so that I could find out what I liked,” said Bell before his junior season about Sports Illustrated. “I played football, baseball, tennis, basketball and football when I was younger. My father said he would support me in what my passion was. Sport or not.

“I always liked football and basketball when I grew up. My family are big football fans. My grandfather played a broad recipient in college and worked in the sports department of the University of Miami when they won national championships.

After he had thrown almost 2,000 yards and 20 touchdowns in the high school as the second school period, it was clear that football was four schools with several power that turned the heat for his services.

The Texas Longhorns have the commitment, but according to Steve Wiltfong from On3 Sports, LSU and Georgia remain in the ear.

During a segment on ESPN 104.5 this week, Shea Dixon also added on3 sports that the LSU still keeps in touch with Bell and his camp as they push on the coveted signal call.

“Dia Bell, they were out of the American heritage forever,” said Dixon. “You had previously landed guys from Fort Lauderdale, but he has just committed himself in Texas. It will take a flip.”

For the tigers, they continued to immerse themselves in the 2026 recruitment cycle to look for a quarterback to take part in the program.

The visitor of this weekend: Bowe Bentley

Celina (Tex.) Four-star quartersback Bowe Bentley will be one of the two-digit priority prospects in Baton Rouge this weekend.

Bentley, who is now classified as a top 5 signal in America, is in the middle of an impressive low season with several schools that express interest.

The rapidly increasing view from the Lone Star State has recently been a hot strip lately after having withdrawn scholarships from a variety of programs such as Florida State, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Texas Tech.

Bentley has released a dominant junior season in which he was one of the best quarterbacks in Texas.

According to the latest recruitment ranking -update from On3 Sports, he now has his ranking on No. 5 Quarterback in America in America.
