Lucy Bronze: Autism has my advantage in football, says England and Chelsea player

Although bronze was only diagnosed as autistic in 2021, the news was not a big surprise for them.

“It was something that I always knew about it,” she says. “My mother had talked about it at a young age and noticed things in me.”

At school, her condition was manifested in her struggle, reading and spelling, and dyslexia was diagnosed with her.

Since bronze had problems to sleep in childhood, a sleep expert could be proposed by writing in a diary before going to bed.

“Then I would write a book,” says Bronze with a smile. “My brain is like 100 km / h, even if I am in bed.”

Bronze tries to make eye contact with people during the conversation, while their habit of touching their hair during the games was noticed by teammates and fans alike.
