Lynn puts a leak on Willow and Oxford

Lynn – The residents along the Willow Street and the Oxford Street had temporary water loss until 3:30 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2025, which means that affected houses and companies experienced little or no water service during this time.

In an interview, the superintendent of Lynn Water & Sewer Commission, John Houlihan, explained that the work was necessary to replace a run -out 6 -inch valve by crossing the Willow Street and Oxford Street. “We tried a repair on Friday, but the valve was beyond the repair,” said Houlihan. As a result, the crews worked on eliminating the area – dirt and debris – to install a new valve, a process that required more extensive shutdown than usual.

Residents with questions or further information were asked to contact the Lynn Water and Sewer Commission.
