The first alleged benchmark result for the new M3 Ultra chip from Apple showed up in the Geekbench 6 database this evening, which enables more performance comparisons. The high-end chip is available in the new Mac Studio, which was introduced at the beginning of this week.

Apple said that the M3-Ultra chip is the “highest performance chip he ever created”, and the non-defined benchmark result seems to confirm this. In the individual result, the 32-core M3-ultra-chip achieved a multi-core CPU score of 27,749, which makes it about 8% faster than the 16-core M4-Max chip, which previously contained the performance record. The result also shows that the M3-Ultra chip is up to 30% faster than the 24-kernel M2-Ultra chip.

As expected, the M4 Max chip is almost 20%of the M3 Ultra Chip in terms of single-core CPU performance after the result.

We are now waiting for additional M3 -Ultra -Benchmark results to determine whether these reviews are exactly because they seem to be on the bottom compared to the expected information. For example, Apple applied up to 1.5 times faster for the M3 Ultra Chip than the M2 Ultra chip, so that the 30% increase above should apparently be closer to the 50% mark. However, Apple never said how the performance of the M3 Ultra Chip is comparable to the M4 Max chip.

As always, real performance can vary somewhat, but synthetic benchmark tools like Geekbench 6 offer a useful basis for comparisons.

Take a look at this room because we would not be surprised if additional GEEKBENCH 6 results for the M3 Ultra Chip have higher performance values.

The benchmark was discovered by @jimmyjames_tech and shared by Vadim Yuryev.
