MA market basket by Gloucester that is examined – NBC Boston

Normality has resumed in a market basket shop in Gloucester, Massachusetts, after parts of the store set fire to fire on Friday evening.

When firefighters arrived on Friday shortly before 8:30 p.m., they found two separate fires – one in the storage room and one in the box compactor of the business.

The firefighters were able to extinguish both fires within about 30 minutes, and the shop was reopened on Saturday after passing several inspections of the health and department.

“I am grateful to our capable fire brigade and mutual auxiliary partners for their efficient work last night to promote this fire,” said Greg Verga, Mayor of Gloucester, and made sure that our residents have access to safe and high quality food, especially in view of the latest news in our community. I am relieved that the business quickly met the requirements of the Ministry of Health and is open again. “

The business was cleaned and disinfected on Friday overnight, and all affected foods were thrown away.

The investigators of the state police, which were assigned to the firefighter's office, are now examining the fires together with the Gloucester officials. No further updates were published.
