Mackendy Darbouze | ICE helps Fayetteeville PD to investigate the Haitian immigrant who is accused of having stabbed 3 relatives

Fayetteville, NC (WTVD) – The US immigration and customs authority helped the Fayetteeville police to have stabbed and killed three of his relatives in the arrest of the man.

Mackendy Darbouze, a 26-year-old citizen and citizen of Haiti, was charged with three first degree murder. In July 2024, he joined legally in the United States.

After his arrest by police officers from Fayetteeville, the agency was contacted according to ICE to interview the 26-year-old because he only spoke Creole and was unable to be interviewed in English. An interpreter and translation services were used.

Darbouze was taken to Cumberland County prison. ICE put a prisoner on him, said the agency.

He performed on February 24th in Cumberland County in Cumberland County.

What happened?

The Fayetteeville police authority replied to a 911 call in the 200 Block of Bellarthur Lane about a report on a stabbing on February 21. Authorities say that Darbouze answered the door with blood on the face, hands and pants.

The police then found the bodies of 77-year-old Beatrice Desir as well as a 13-year-old and a 4-year-old with several stinging wounds.

According to the authorities, Darbouze can be seen in the house monitoring material that runs around with a knife. According to investigators, a knife with blood was later found in Darbouze's room.

Darbouze was arrested by the responding officials. ICE was then contacted to help in the interview.

ICE said this was an investigation by the agency and the police department of Fayetteeville.
