Man arrested after people arrested Witness Pee Dee Shooting at the birthday party, guarantees the state

Lake City, SC (WMBF) – A man from South Carolina is charged with a shooting of Lake City who watched people at a birthday party.

Lake City's police booked Laydayveus Steeler (27) from Kingstree on Tuesday for experimental murder and possession of a weapon in violent crimes.

The fees come from a shooting on January 24 at 9:30 p.m. in the 400th block of the Brentwood Circle near Matthews Road.

Steeler shot the victim in the groin area after the victim tried to intervene during a “domestic incident” between Steeler and his child's mother, as according to the arrest commands. The arrest documents also say that people saw the shootout at a birthday party.

The victim was seen in a hospital and then flown to another.

The police announced the day after the shootout that they were looking for Steeler.

Steeler is booked in the Florence County Detention Center under No Bond, as prison files show.
