Man arrested for a fatal shootout in South Memphis | News

Memphis, tenn. – A man was arrested in a fatal shootout, which took place in front of a supermarket in South Memphis at the beginning of this month, as well as recordings.

Court documents stated that AA crimestopper's tip led to the arrest of Geremy Atkins (40), which was charged with the second degree murder and the arrest of several crimes.

The Memphis police reported that the shootout took place in front of a supermarket on the corner of South Parkway and Latham Street on February 4. Investigators received surveillance that two men showed from the shop after a man who was later identified as Brown before one of them shot Brown.

A Crimestopper's tip led the investigators to Atkins, who was arrested on Wednesday after a short chase, as court documents claimed.
