Man in a critical condition after shooting in the Renton Transit Center – Kiro 7 News Seattle

Reme, wash. – A man is in a critical condition after being shot in front of the Pension Transit Center on Tuesday afternoon.

Shortly after 4:30 p.m., the police reacted to a shootout on Burnett Ave South.

The police said a man pulled out a gun and shot the other in the stomach.

The investigators say that the suspect ran away, got into a U -Bahn -Bus in King County and drove about a mile north.

“Someone saw how they got in and then sparkled into the control center, moved the operator and then saved the person out of the bus,” said ATU Local 587 President Greg Woodfill.

Woodfill said Kiro 7 that he was fed up with another shootout.

“It is stressful to come to work every day and not know whether they will deal with one of them,” he said.

The Renton police arrested the suspect and found his gun shortly afterwards. But even then Woodfill says that her operators and passengers often put in danger.

“I am very concerned about the mental health of our operators. After saying that, we also fight for the passengers,” said Woodfill.
